Plastic Camera Filter Case What Is The Life Expectancy Of A DSLR?

What is the life expectancy of a DSLR? - plastic camera filter case

Not even six months, the EOS 1000, no communication with all attached lenses. I changed the battery and memory card, pencil, graphite contacts.
It seems that needs repair, simply let the camera bag to take an image and it directly yet, I have tried so carefully from the first day, the UV filter and screen protectors made of plastic.

I am disappointed that my 25 years has, Nikon FA, it never failed to beat, has survived the extreme conditions in recent years, the humidity drops cliffs, beaches and sterilize the salt.

I will wait for mistakes such as with a DSLR camera, but not really threatened in any way. I love this camera, I am not happy with it but now. Do I need two bodies, which are always in the shop for repairs?

As with any sophisticated equipment, there is a chance to break.
You appear to have Duff, but if you have bags to use after 6 months of standard.

I use digital D1 since a few years ago and never (thumb), I had a problem with a camera that I use.

I average 4000 Photos of the week under conditions ranging from the investigation of heat friendly and warm to cold in the Arctic and baking in the desert.
My current cameras (D3, D300 and D700) have suffered a defeat, including D700 crashed into the sea to wash and dry, and always closed 4 months later.

The answer to your question - no, you should not wait for mistakes, and if the device is correctly handled, it should last years.
You need two points - If you have a "serious" amateur or professional, you have two modes, because there is always the possibility of developing a disorder or damage.

You should trigger more than 50k shares. What do you mean by "with a pencil? Using a common synthetic rubber eraser, as you clean the contacts.
If the device is under factory warranty? Because it eliminates the target chamber is dirty contacts or internal error. What has to say about Canon?
Edit --- ---
Okay, well the problem of the lens. Restoring the original configuration would be worth a try. It would be better if it updated firmware for your model? You will probably be looking back to Canon.

There are lemons, for sure. My first Canon 40D has a "Err99" after a few thousand shows launched. I have tried to clean the contacts and everything. Finally, I concluded that only occurs when the shutter was triggered by that would be a bad idea.

Off topic is FYI - Err99 "Canon Catch All" error. This means, more or less "something wrong" and no more specific than that.
